LORAC WILD for TANtalizer Set

Hey Loves!

So about a month ago I ordered this set by LORAC from Hautelook. I hate how long it takes to get to me but the prices are usually worth it! I saw this set on there and bought it immediately. I love bronzes and brown eyeshadows. Definitely an awesome price too! I bought it for $15, regularly $39.

When I first opened the box, I didn't realize that it came with a little makeup bag. I thought that was pretty cool. Although, I'm not a big fan of how it looks but I'm sure I can figure out something to put in it lol.

How gorgeous are these colors? I love how the bronzer and the lipgloss both have the zebra stripes. The colors are gorgeous and have great color payoff. They are highly pigmented (like most LORAC items). I haven't been disappointed by LORAC yet and I'm excited to give these a try. I like to stay bronze all year long so I will definitely put this to work! :)

L to R: Fierce, Tigris, Panthera, Saber

The eyeshadows are gorgeous and have beautiful color payoff. I am very excited to give these a try.  The bronzer has a lot of shimmer to it so I might use it as a highlighter. If I use too much shimmer on my face I look like a shiny mess, lol. I'm also LOVING the lipgloss. This is my new favorite. It is a gorgeous bronzy pink color. It also has a great smell to it. It kinda smells like marshmallows or something yummy, lol.

Have you tried any of these products? What did you think?

e.l.f. Beauty Best Sellers Set

Hey Loves!

Last week e.l.f. was having a coffee break sale on their Beauty Best Sellers Set. This set only cost me $20! The first time they offered this set I missed the sale so the next time I saw they had it again I had to jump on it. You cannot pass this set up for $2o. I also really wanted to try their brushes so I was excited to see that it came with this brush set.

Studio 11 Piece Brush Collection:

Sleek, Water-Resistant Case, Eyeshadow "C" Brush, Complexion Brush, Small Angled Brush, Small Smudge Brush, Fan Brush, Powder Brush, Angled Foundation Brush, Concealer Brush, Small Precision Brush, Blush Brush, and Contouring Brush.

So far I am really impressed with these brushes. They are super soft and apply makeup nicely. However, the complexion brush and blush brush are a bit too small for me. These would be good for traveling though. So far my favorite brushes are the contour brush and the flat top powder brush. If you check out e.l.f. they have this brush set on sale for $3.50 when you purchase $30 worth of products.

High Definition Powder - Translucent:

This powder is a translucent, versatile loose powder that creates a flawless, "soft focus" effect to the skin. Masks fine lines and imperfections for a glowing, radiant complexion.

This powder is definitely silky smooth and goes on nice. However, I don't like to use the powder puff that it came with. I need to use this a few more times until I can really comment on how I like it.

Studio Cream Eyeliner - Black:

The cream formula creates smooth lines that are defined and precise. Smudge-proof, budge-proof, and water resistant coverage for all day wear to combat against, sweat, tears, or rain!

This eyeliner is definitely waterproof and budge-proof. After I swatched it on my hand I had a super hard time getting it off, lol. Usually I can take a wet towel and wipe it off. I had to pull out my eye makeup remover to take this off, lol. It is also very creamy and a nice dark black. This also comes with a little brush but it's garbage to me so I just threw it away.  It is kind of hard to work with since it's so small.

Studio Lengthening & Volumizing Mascara - Black:

Achieve thicker, fuller, and longer lashes that are beautiful and natural. The enlarged brush coats your lashes evenly for an enhanced appeal. The unique formula is clump free and quick drying so you can have color that stays on all day with no smudging and no flaking.

This mascara did an okay job at lengthening and volumizing but I wasn't amazed. I definitely don't think I'll be jumping ship from my regular favorite MAC mascara but this is pretty good for the price it costs!

Mineral Moisturizing Lip Tint SPF 8 - Guava:

This just-bitten tint of color provides immediate soothing relief to irritated chapped lips while also diminishing the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles around the lip area. Shea butter, Jojoba oil, Coconut Oil and Vitamin E impart serious moisture while SPF 8 protects lips from harmful UVA/UVB rays.

I really like this lip tint. It is very moisturizing and it gives a pretty pink color. I was a bit hesitant to try this because of the reaction I had to the glossy gloss but so far so good.

Essential Shimmer Lip Gloss - Inspire

This high shine lip gloss is infused with dazzling shimmer that gives the perfect amount of sparkle for instant dimension on lips. The non-sticky, lightweight formula is rich and soothing for comfortable wear.

I really like this lip gloss as well. It gives a nice pink shimmer to the lips and it is not sticky at all. However, it does ware off fairly quickly but that is common to me for most lip glosses so not a biggy.

Makeup Mist & Set:

The invigorating mist moisturizes and soothes the skin with key ingredients Aloe, Green Tea, Cucumber and Vitamins A, C & E. The lightweight, comfortable and alcohol free formula improves makeup wearability and prevents color from running or fading.

I haven't got to give this a try yet. Yesterday after I put on all my makeup I was going to use and completely forgot too! Lol today I have been lounging all day so I have been makeup free! I will definitely post a review on it if I'm wowed by it! :)

So that is all of the items from the e.l.f. Beauty Best Sellers set. Have you tried any of these items?

Influenster VoxBox: Palmolive Fresh Infusions

Hey Loves!

So I know this post isn't about makeup or beauty products but I wanted to share with you all what I got from Influenster. Sadly, I didn't get chosen to get a Beauty Box :( but I got chosen to try out Palmolive's Fresh Infusion Dish Soap. I guess it's because of all the dishes I have to do with two kids and a husband, LOL. :)

I was still very excited to get these! I got three full size dish soaps for free to test out! Who doesn't love free stuff? The three scents are very unique. I got Ginger White Tea, Lemon Thyme, and Lime Basil. They definitely smell fresh and I'm excited to give them a try!

If you haven't checked out Influenster yet then you definitely should. They have different tasks for people to complete and you can qualify for free VoxBoxes. It's pretty awesome if you ask me! They have also totally revamped their website and gave it a makeover!

Have you checked out Influenster already? Have you received any free VoxBoxes from them yet?

Product Disappointment: Philosophy Hope in a Jar

Hi Loves!

So I received this sample of Philosophy's Hope in a Jar in my TestTube that I got recently. I was excited to see this in there because I have seen many bloggers rave about it so I was happy I didn't have to shell out $$ to try it.

When I first got it I noticed it didn't really have a smell. That is a minus for me because I don't like too much scent but I like it to be nice enough to enjoy putting it on my face. After I put this on my face I was immediately turned off by the scent. I'm not sure if maybe I got a bad sample or that is how it really smells. It sort of smelled like plastic or something? I did not enjoy it at all. That was a disappointment.

I also noticed that it didn't really feel lightweight like it says it is. It felt a bit heavy at first and sticky. That was a warning sign for me right there since I have oily skin. I immediately thought, "Oh no, I'm gonna be a shiny oil slick by the end of the day!" lol. And I was right...by the end of the day my face was so shiny and oily I had to immediately wash my face. This product is definitely not for oily skin. Philosophy should not advertise that this is for all skin types and is oil-free. It made my oil worse than normal. However, maybe I got a bad sample?

I only used this sample one time and will not be using it again. I definitely wont be buying this product either. I will stick to using my MAC Oil-Free Lotion. At least that keeps shine at bay and smells nice :)

Have you tried this? What did you think of it?

Sonia Kashuk's Flat-Top Sculpting Brush

Hi Loves!

So I was at Target today and saw that they had the Sonia Kashuk Flat-Top Sculpting brush. I saw this on a few blogs before and I was definitely intrigued because I want the MAC 163 Flat Contour Brush. You can't beat the price of this brush at $12.99 compared to MAC's $35.00.

Sonia Kashuk Flat-Top Sculpting Brush:

The Sonia Kashuk flat brush is designed for contouring, sculpting and blending .This brush is ideal for a controlled application of highlighting, brightening and bronzing powders.

When I got home, I immediately opened this brush and tested it out. This brush definitely takes some getting used too. I usually do my contouring with the edge of a flat top bronzing/blush brush. The edge of it really puts a nice contour in the hollow of my cheeks.

When I used this brush in the hollow of my cheeks I got a straight line. It looked like a stripe, LOL. After I blended it in though it looked nice so I just need to figure out how to correctly use it. I definitely think it's a great brush for the price and also works well for contouring. I am excited to use it with my highlighter as well because I think it will work great for that.

If you would like to check out this brush, you can here

Have any of you tried this brush? Do you know how to correctly use it?

Happy Birthday to ME!!

Hi Loves!

Yesterday was my birthday and my husband took me out for lunch and a day of shopping. It was a lot of fun and got a little tipsy from our lunch time cocktails, lol. He took me to one of my favorite spots, Neiman Marcus Cafe. They have great lunch time food and the cocktails are amazing. So I wanted to share some of my birthday pictures with you all!

New Beauty Fall/Winter TestTube

Hi Loves!!

I know I've posted a lot about beauty programs lately but their all coming one after the other, lol. So I received my second TestTube from New Beauty yesterday! I was super excited to see it because I wasn't expecting to see it so soon. I think this has got to be one of the best beauty programs that is out there. If only they offered it monthly. I would totally pay $29.95 a month for this!!

CellCeuticals Photo Defense Color Radiance
1) PhotoDefense Anti-PhotoAging Daily Skin Protector is an ultra-light hydrating formula with patent pending Photoplex®, which provides extreme anti-aging protection against daily UVA and UVB sun exposure, oxidative stress, and glycation. Fortified with a powerful Auto-Defense System and vitamin D to help strengthen the skin’s natural defenses.

I was excited to see this but then I realized that they sent this to me in the color Fair. Way too light for me but this was one of the full size products I received.

Dr. Brandt Dark Circles Away
 2) This brightening eye serum works to diminish the look of tired, puffy, and hollow eyes. Lumisphere™ microencapsulated pigments instantly improve luminosity and brightness, helping to fade dark circles and break down abnormal fatty deposits that cause undereye bags. Other ingredients boost collagen levels, stimulate microcirculation, strengthen thin, fragile skin, and keep the eye area hydrated and healthy looking.

I was also excited to see this. I have always wanted to try skincare products from Dr. Brandt but they are pretty pricey. I'm excited to give this a try.

it Cosmetics - Bye Bye Under Eye Concealer
3) Full coverage, waterproof, yet moisturizing, concealer with anti-aging ingredients to combat dark circles while it conceals.

I've seen it Cosmetics here and there but I've never really looked into them or tried any of their products. I was very interested in this when I saw it. I put it on for a quick tester today and it covers great! It is a bit thick but the coverage is definitely full. I need to figure out if this is better then the Mally Beauty concealer I am using. The coverage is that good! However, it definitely needs to be set with a powder because it feels and looks a bit wet still. If I touch it with my fingers it comes off a bit.

Kneipp Herbal Bath - Eucalyptus
4) This highly concentrated bath treatment with aroma-intensive, essential eucalyptus oil from an evergreen tree, stimulates and helps relieve sinuses especially during cold and flu season. Use Eucalyptus when you feel feel a cold or flu coming. The signs could be chills, stuffy nose, head congestion, general tiredness. It is also helpful during allergy season and can be cooling in summer.

This is definitely interesting and sounds pretty good if I ever have a cold. However, I never take baths lol. This might be good to use on my son or daughter if they have a cold coming on.

Moroccan Oil - Intense Hydrating Mask
5) Hair in need of extra conditioning can benefit from this 5-minute revival treatment. Ideal for thick hair, the high-performance, argan oil–rich formulas deeply hydrate and condition while dramatically improving hair’s texture, elasticity, shine and manageability.

I was hyped to see this in the Test Tube! I love Moroccan Oil products and even though this isn't a full size bottle, it is still a pretty good size. It's definitely a deluxe sample size.

Philosophy - Hope in a Jar
6) Philosophy Hope in a Jar is a 99.9% oil-free, deeply hydrating, lightweight wonder designed to smooth the complexion while reducing the appearance of wrinkles and discoloration. Originally created for the medical market, this expert essential delivers soft, healthy, glowing results.

I was also excited to see this in the Testtube because I've also been wanting to try this. However, it is on the pricey side so it's hard to spend that much money if you've never tried it before. Now I get to test it out to see if it's worth the hype!

Olay Professional ProX - Deep Wrinkle Treatment
7) Pro-X Deep Wrinkle Treatment is designed and professionally tested for the deepest wrinkles. This Specialized Treatment penetrates deep into your skin's surface, hydrating to combat the appearance of wrinkles.

Another full size product that I received. I love Olay products so this was also exciting. They always seem to send me a lot of anti-aging products though lol. You can never start too early :)

Yonka Anti-Age Time Release Intense Moisture Masque
8) This gel-cream mask with delicate natural scent of flowers delivers both immediate and continuous, intensive hydration to the upper layers of the epidermis : + 54% after 1 hour, + 96% after 8 hours.

I've never heard of this company before but I will definitely try it out. This was another full-size product that I received.

And the last thing I received is the Fall/Winter issue of New Beauty. This magazine is great and so is the TestTube program. If you haven't checked it out then you can here. It is $29.95 quarterly (Spring, Summer, Fall, Winter). It is definitely worth the $29.95! This is the best one that I am signed up for.

Have you tried any of these products before?

October Birchbox

Hi Loves!!

So I received my October Birchbox a few days ago. This is my first Birchbox so I was quite excited to receive it. However, I was surprised at how small it was. It's hard to tell in the picture but I thought it was going to be bigger than it was.

The first item I got is a Luna Protein bar in Chocolate Peanut Butter. I haven't got to try it yet but it sounds delish!

The second item I got is a Jouer Lip Enhancer. It is a conditioning lip treatment. I just put some on my lips for the first time and it is actually quite soothing. Especially since my lips are still recovering from the reaction they had from e.l.f. lip gloss :( Sorry about the blurry picture. Something about the color of the writing and the bottle that it kept coming out blurry in each photo.

The next item I got is from TheBalm. It is the Mary-Lou Manizer. It can be used as a highlighter or an eyeshadow. I was excited to see this as I am starting to fall in love with many of the products by TheBalm.

The next product I got is from Vitivia. It is a Pure Antioxidant Therapy that is used on the face. I got two different capsules in the sample. The orange colored capsules are pure Vitamin A. It is supposed to be applied on the face at night and is used to refine pores, smoothing fine lines, and reducing skin inflammation. The brown capsules are pure Vitamin C and are used to reduce hyperpigmentation, fight wrinkles, and age spots. I am definitely excited to give these a go! They sound interesting.

The last item I received is a sample bottle of Juicy's Viva La Juicy La Fleur. Viva La Juicy is one of my favorite fragrances so I was excited to see this as well. It smells just as good as Viva La Juicy but more flowery. Hence the name "La Fleur" lol.

Anyways, so there you have it. That is my October Birchbox. I am not sure if it is worth $10. I guess it's pretty good. Definitely not as good as my Ipsy Bag that I received. I actually got full size products in that and it is the same price. Hopefully the next box will be awesome or I will be real quick to cancel my subscription if I'm not impressed! LOL

If you want to learn more about Birchbox, you can check them out here. The monthly subscription is $10 plus free shipping.

Do you subscribe to Birchbox? What do you think of the products?
