I know, I know! Long time no post! I have been a super busy lady lately. We were away for a week for Thanksgiving. We went to Alabama to spend Thanksgiving with my In-Laws. We had a lot of fun and it was sad to come back to reality (School, Work, Etc.). I've been meaning to post this beauty bag I got from Ipsy a long time ago but I've been a busy busy woman. So here it is!
1. Starlet Cosmetics Intense Eyeliner in Black: These creamy eyeliner pencils glide on to deliver a lasting vibrant color in chocolate or black. Blend or line your lids to create your favorite glam look, whether a smoky eye or straight line wing tip.
This eyeliner is a nice creamy one. However, it didn't wow me. It seemed like any other black eyeliner. I also don't tend to use pencil eyeliners. I like wet eyeliner and I usually use a kohl crayon to fill in my waterline.
2. Bare Minerals Lip Gloss in Marvelous Moxie: Unleash your inner moxie with a fabulously full, pillowy pout. The luscious marvelous Moxie lipgloss delivers vibrant sheer-to-medium color with a glistening mirror-like finish.
This lipgloss is a gorgeous color! I usually tend to wear lighter pinks than this but I'm loving this. It is also super shiny and creamy. It isn't sticky either. It actually did a really good job at moisturizing my lips. I definitely want to look in to more colors.
3. CHELLA Eyebrow Defining Gel: This clear colored brow gel lifts and holds eyebrow hairs and grooms them into place. The application tool helps remove the guesswork. Use sparingly.
I wasn't impressed by this eyebrow gel. I currently use MAC's Clear Eyebrow Gel and this certainly wasn't better than that. I actually think that I got a bad bottle of this. It may have dried out inside the container because I barely get any product on the wand when I pull it out.
4. NAILTINI in Millionaire: Millionaire spikes a base of rose gold micro-glitter with iridescent gold and teal tinsels for statement-making nails, whether worn alone or as a dazzling special-effect topcoat.
This color is gorgeous but I'm not sure how often I will use it. Sometimes I will use a glitter topcoat over my regular polish. So this should be pretty for the holiday season! :)
5. theBalm Meet Matte Eyeshadow: Matt Batali is just one of the nine shadows found in theBalm’s Meet Matte(e) compact palette (named after their favorite Matthews next door) which can be combined to create a multitude of soft and wearable looks. Matt Batali leaves a dark, matte finish, perfect for creating a smokey eye.
This color is super pretty and right up my alley. I love matte colors especially browns. This color is like a charcoal brownish grey. Super pretty and I can't wait to try this color out. It is highly pigmented as well. I'm sort of nervous about the fall out though. Every time I use an eyeshadow by theBalm I tend to get A LOT of fallout.
So that is everything that I received in this month's Ipsy bag. If you are interested in finding out more about Ipsy Beauty Bags... check them out here. It costs $10 a month for a bag full of goodies like this one. Have you tried any of these products? What did you think of this month's bag?

Sorry it's been taking me a while to post but I've had extreme writers block, lol. I've also recently started exercising with a trainer three times a week so that's been taking a lot of my time on top of my kids, school, etc. Anyways I wanted to give a review on e.l.f.'s Makeup Mist & Set. I've been using it a lot lately so I wanted to give everyone my opinion on it :)
e.l.f. Studio Makeup Mist & Set:
Wish you could have a product for your makeup like Hairspray is for your hair? Well…keep your makeup staying in place all day with a radiance boosting invisible hold with our new Makeup Mist & Set. The invigorating mist moisturizes and soothes the skin with key ingredients Aloe, Green Tea, Cucumber and Vitamins A, C & E. The lightweight, comfortable and alcohol free formula improves makeup wearability and prevents color from running or fading.
- It feels fresh on the face when sprayed lightly.
- It feels soothing and moisturizing on the skin.
- It also has a nice, soft scent to it.
- It keeps makeup in place all day!
- It also gives makeup a nice dewy glow.
- It has Aloe, Green Tea, Cucumber, and Vitamins A, C, & E.
- I couldn't find anything to complain about! :)
A+ I didn't think I would find any use to this because I've never really used a finishing spray before. The only one that I have used is MAC's Fix+ and that made my face too shiny so I didn't use it again.
I've been spraying this on my face before I go and workout because I like to put a little bit of tinted moisturizer and powder on my face before I go. I know what you're thinking..."you're not supposed to wear makeup before you work out!" LOL But I am a bit of a diva and I like to put a little bit on. Not a full face of makeup but I am the type of person that doesn't like to leave the house without wearing makeup haha. Anyways, this spray has been keeping my tinted moisturizer and powder in place while I'm sweating and wiping my face. So you know this spray must be bulletproof! lol
If you'd like to check this out, you can find it here for $3.00!!
Have you tried this spray? What did you think about it?

It felt so good to wake up this morning knowing that our president is still Barack Obama!! I was sitting on edge all day yesterday waiting for the results and when I found out he won, I was ecstatic! I just wanted to share my excitement with you all. Unfortunately, I cannot vote in the United States because I am a Canadian citizen. However, I support him and am behind him 100% and I am very happy that other guy didn't get in there, lol.
Anyways, I also wanted to mention that I am having a major writing block :( Boo hoo! Hopefully I can get some ideas and I will try to get my writing flowing again lol :)

So I've been wanting to do a review on this applicator for a while and I'm finally getting around to doing it. This is the best tool I've ever used so I definitely wanted to spread the word if you haven't checked this out yet. :)
e.l.f. Studio Glitter Eyeshadow Applicator:
End glitter fallout and get gorgeous sparkling eyes with this innovative, unique Glitter Applicator. The silicone head is specifically designed to apply glitter. Comfort soft material grabs glitter and places it directly on the eyelid for precise and concentrated application. Great for loose or pressed glitter eyeshadow.
- It picks up glitter perfectly!
- The pointy tip of the applicator fits right into the corner of the eye for precise application.
- There is no glitter fallout whatsoever!
- The glitter stays on my eyes all night and there was none on my face!
- It also works perfectly with eyeshadow pigments.
- The head of the applicator is nice and soft against the eyelids.
- I didn't have to use any glitter glue or anything!
- I didn't have to use any glitter glue or anything!
- There is none!
A++++ I absolutely love this applicator! and at $3 bucks you can't go wrong! However, I've noticed that it is so popular so it's been sold out for a while. If you want to grab this then you have to jump on it quick when it's back in stock because they sell out pretty quick. I haven't seen them in Target but you can definitely check to see if they have it there. This is a must buy if you love glittery eyes and loose pigments.
If you would like to buy it, you can check it out here.
Have you tried this applicator before? What do you think of it?

So about a month ago I ordered this set by LORAC from Hautelook. I hate how long it takes to get to me but the prices are usually worth it! I saw this set on there and bought it immediately. I love bronzes and brown eyeshadows. Definitely an awesome price too! I bought it for $15, regularly $39.
When I first opened the box, I didn't realize that it came with a little makeup bag. I thought that was pretty cool. Although, I'm not a big fan of how it looks but I'm sure I can figure out something to put in it lol.
|L to R: Fierce, Tigris, Panthera, Saber|
The eyeshadows are gorgeous and have beautiful color payoff. I am very excited to give these a try. The bronzer has a lot of shimmer to it so I might use it as a highlighter. If I use too much shimmer on my face I look like a shiny mess, lol. I'm also LOVING the lipgloss. This is my new favorite. It is a gorgeous bronzy pink color. It also has a great smell to it. It kinda smells like marshmallows or something yummy, lol.
Have you tried any of these products? What did you think?

Last week e.l.f. was having a coffee break sale on their Beauty Best Sellers Set. This set only cost me $20! The first time they offered this set I missed the sale so the next time I saw they had it again I had to jump on it. You cannot pass this set up for $2o. I also really wanted to try their brushes so I was excited to see that it came with this brush set.
Studio 11 Piece Brush Collection:
Sleek, Water-Resistant Case, Eyeshadow "C" Brush, Complexion Brush, Small Angled Brush, Small Smudge Brush, Fan Brush, Powder Brush, Angled Foundation Brush, Concealer Brush, Small Precision Brush, Blush Brush, and Contouring Brush.
So far I am really impressed with these brushes. They are super soft and apply makeup nicely. However, the complexion brush and blush brush are a bit too small for me. These would be good for traveling though. So far my favorite brushes are the contour brush and the flat top powder brush. If you check out e.l.f. they have this brush set on sale for $3.50 when you purchase $30 worth of products.
High Definition Powder - Translucent:
This powder is a translucent, versatile loose powder that creates a flawless, "soft focus" effect to the skin. Masks fine lines and imperfections for a glowing, radiant complexion.
This powder is definitely silky smooth and goes on nice. However, I don't like to use the powder puff that it came with. I need to use this a few more times until I can really comment on how I like it.
Studio Cream Eyeliner - Black:
The cream formula creates smooth lines that are defined and precise. Smudge-proof, budge-proof, and water resistant coverage for all day wear to combat against, sweat, tears, or rain!
This eyeliner is definitely waterproof and budge-proof. After I swatched it on my hand I had a super hard time getting it off, lol. Usually I can take a wet towel and wipe it off. I had to pull out my eye makeup remover to take this off, lol. It is also very creamy and a nice dark black. This also comes with a little brush but it's garbage to me so I just threw it away. It is kind of hard to work with since it's so small.
Studio Lengthening & Volumizing Mascara - Black:
Achieve thicker, fuller, and longer lashes that are beautiful and natural. The enlarged brush coats your lashes evenly for an enhanced appeal. The unique formula is clump free and quick drying so you can have color that stays on all day with no smudging and no flaking.
This mascara did an okay job at lengthening and volumizing but I wasn't amazed. I definitely don't think I'll be jumping ship from my regular favorite MAC mascara but this is pretty good for the price it costs!
Mineral Moisturizing Lip Tint SPF 8 - Guava:
This just-bitten tint of color provides immediate soothing relief to irritated chapped lips while also diminishing the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles around the lip area. Shea butter, Jojoba oil, Coconut Oil and Vitamin E impart serious moisture while SPF 8 protects lips from harmful UVA/UVB rays.
I really like this lip tint. It is very moisturizing and it gives a pretty pink color. I was a bit hesitant to try this because of the reaction I had to the glossy gloss but so far so good.
Essential Shimmer Lip Gloss - Inspire
This high shine lip gloss is infused with dazzling shimmer that gives the perfect amount of sparkle for instant dimension on lips. The non-sticky, lightweight formula is rich and soothing for comfortable wear.
I really like this lip gloss as well. It gives a nice pink shimmer to the lips and it is not sticky at all. However, it does ware off fairly quickly but that is common to me for most lip glosses so not a biggy.
Makeup Mist & Set:
The invigorating mist moisturizes and soothes the skin with key ingredients Aloe, Green Tea, Cucumber and Vitamins A, C & E. The lightweight, comfortable and alcohol free formula improves makeup wearability and prevents color from running or fading.
I haven't got to give this a try yet. Yesterday after I put on all my makeup I was going to use and completely forgot too! Lol today I have been lounging all day so I have been makeup free! I will definitely post a review on it if I'm wowed by it! :)
So that is all of the items from the e.l.f. Beauty Best Sellers set. Have you tried any of these items?

So I know this post isn't about makeup or beauty products but I wanted to share with you all what I got from Influenster. Sadly, I didn't get chosen to get a Beauty Box :( but I got chosen to try out Palmolive's Fresh Infusion Dish Soap. I guess it's because of all the dishes I have to do with two kids and a husband, LOL. :)
I was still very excited to get these! I got three full size dish soaps for free to test out! Who doesn't love free stuff? The three scents are very unique. I got Ginger White Tea, Lemon Thyme, and Lime Basil. They definitely smell fresh and I'm excited to give them a try!
If you haven't checked out Influenster yet then you definitely should. They have different tasks for people to complete and you can qualify for free VoxBoxes. It's pretty awesome if you ask me! They have also totally revamped their website and gave it a makeover!
Have you checked out Influenster already? Have you received any free VoxBoxes from them yet?

So I received this sample of Philosophy's Hope in a Jar in my TestTube that I got recently. I was excited to see this in there because I have seen many bloggers rave about it so I was happy I didn't have to shell out $$ to try it.
When I first got it I noticed it didn't really have a smell. That is a minus for me because I don't like too much scent but I like it to be nice enough to enjoy putting it on my face. After I put this on my face I was immediately turned off by the scent. I'm not sure if maybe I got a bad sample or that is how it really smells. It sort of smelled like plastic or something? I did not enjoy it at all. That was a disappointment.
I also noticed that it didn't really feel lightweight like it says it is. It felt a bit heavy at first and sticky. That was a warning sign for me right there since I have oily skin. I immediately thought, "Oh no, I'm gonna be a shiny oil slick by the end of the day!" lol. And I was right...by the end of the day my face was so shiny and oily I had to immediately wash my face. This product is definitely not for oily skin. Philosophy should not advertise that this is for all skin types and is oil-free. It made my oil worse than normal. However, maybe I got a bad sample?
I only used this sample one time and will not be using it again. I definitely wont be buying this product either. I will stick to using my MAC Oil-Free Lotion. At least that keeps shine at bay and smells nice :)
Have you tried this? What did you think of it?

So I was at Target today and saw that they had the Sonia Kashuk Flat-Top Sculpting brush. I saw this on a few blogs before and I was definitely intrigued because I want the MAC 163 Flat Contour Brush. You can't beat the price of this brush at $12.99 compared to MAC's $35.00.
Sonia Kashuk Flat-Top Sculpting Brush:
The Sonia Kashuk flat brush is designed for contouring, sculpting and blending .This brush is ideal for a controlled application of highlighting, brightening and bronzing powders.
When I got home, I immediately opened this brush and tested it out. This brush definitely takes some getting used too. I usually do my contouring with the edge of a flat top bronzing/blush brush. The edge of it really puts a nice contour in the hollow of my cheeks.
When I used this brush in the hollow of my cheeks I got a straight line. It looked like a stripe, LOL. After I blended it in though it looked nice so I just need to figure out how to correctly use it. I definitely think it's a great brush for the price and also works well for contouring. I am excited to use it with my highlighter as well because I think it will work great for that.
If you would like to check out this brush, you can here.
Have any of you tried this brush? Do you know how to correctly use it?
Yesterday was my birthday and my husband took me out for lunch and a day of shopping. It was a lot of fun and got a little tipsy from our lunch time cocktails, lol. He took me to one of my favorite spots, Neiman Marcus Cafe. They have great lunch time food and the cocktails are amazing. So I wanted to share some of my birthday pictures with you all!
